Our story

Always Growing

Tree Source started as a single farm in Rupert, Idaho, growing cold-hardy trees, shrubs, grasses, and perennials for contractors who needed plants tough enough for the Intermountain West.

Demand grew, and so did we. Today we grow on two farms — Rupert, Idaho and Boring, Oregon — and stock rewholesale locations in Utah and Colorado so professionals can replenish close to their jobs. More than a million trees and plants are in the ground or on their way — and our name still says it best: always growing.

Why Tree Source

Built to make your job easier

Anyone can sell you a tree. We compete on the things that actually move a project forward — getting the right material to the right place on time, on terms that work for your business. Our own trucks run farm-direct, so the people who grow your material are the same people who get it to you.

On-time delivery you can plan around
Do you know when your material will land? We do. Farm-direct logistics and fast turnaround — typically about a week — give you certainty about when plants reach your job site or yard.
Flexible terms
For qualified customers, flexible terms keep cash flow manageable. The idea is simple: we get paid when you get paid.
A loyalty program worth using
Most nurseries don't offer one. Ours rewards your business with real rebates and trips — a genuine thank-you for growing with us.

Selection

Plants that excel where you build

Our plants are acclimated to a rougher growing environment than where they ship — cold-hardy, drought-tolerant, and ready for the region's hard winters, dry summers, and intense sun.

Between our two farms and 50-plus grower partners, the catalog runs deep: more than 1,000 varieties of trees, shrubs, perennials, grasses, and ground covers, in the calipers and quantities commercial jobs demand. Need something we don't grow? Our plant sourcing team can find it.

Behind every order

Grown and shipped by people who care

A tree is only as good as the crew that grows it, the hands that pull your order, and the driver who gets it there. We're a family business with a team that's been doing this for years — and we treat your project like one of our own. (Yes, the dogs help too.)
